EDePro | Hurricane 262mm Reaches Key Milestone
HURRICANE 262mm REACHES KEY MILESTONE
EDePRo Successfully Conducts Flight Test of New 70km Long-Range Rocket 25 April, 2025

Belgrade, April 25, 2025 – EDePro proudly announces the successful flight testing of its latest innovation in advanced rocket artillery: the Hurricane 262mm, a long-range, unguided surface-to-surface rocket system capable of reaching targets at distances up to 70 kilometers.

The Hurricane 262mm system, part of the MLRS family, was first introduced at IDEX 2023, where it generated significant interest for its bold design and battlefield versatility. Since its unveiling, the system has undergone extensive development and rigorous testing, including successful static motor firings and full dynamic trials.

The most recent flight test, conducted in April 2025 at a secured proving ground, confirmed the system’s operational readiness. This marks a significant turning point for the Hurricane 262mm project. The system performed flawlessly under live-fire conditions, validating years of development and engineering excellence.

The Hurricane 262mm rocket is equipped with a blast-fragmentation warhead, engineered with a steel shell, pre-fragmented elements, and a high-energy explosive charge, activated by an impact fuse positioned in the nose. This warhead design ensures maximum lethality making it a potent tool for suppressing enemy forces in tactical depth.

A major innovation in the Hurricane 262mm is its modern solid rocket motor, featuring a single propellant grain composed of two types of propellants with distinct burn rates, a state-of-the-art technology of our company. For enhanced tactical flexibility, the rocket is equipped with a spoiler (braking) ring, allowing it to shorten range, fire over obstacles, and land at high-impact angles. Accuracy remains a core focus, with C.E.P. of less than 1% at maximum range — a result of meticulous design and stringent quality control.

Looking ahead, EDePro will continue its intensive development program to further increase maximum range, improve precision, implement a guidance kit, and develop new types of warheads. With the success of this latest test, EDePro reaffirms its commitment to advancing regional defense capabilities through innovation, reliability, and precision-engineered solutions.
