EDePro – 2025 Year in Review
Closing a Decade of R&D, Opening a New Chapter in 2026 26 December, 2025In 2025, EDePro reaffirmed its position as a leading innovator in next-generation precision strike and advanced propulsion technologies across South-Eastern Europe. This year marked a definitive turning point: the culmination of a decade of intensive research and development, and the beginning of a new era of industrial-scale production.
Operational Milestone: The ALAS XX Deployed
The year’s defining achievement was the official deployment of our next-gen cruise missile system, the Alas XX, into the Serbian Armed Forces. Developed in close partnership with Yugoimport SDPR, spanning design to deployment, this system underpins Serbia’s defence modernisation.
Following successful acceptance trials in April, which included four flawless live firings against static armoured targets, the Alas XX entered full operational service in September 2025. This success signals our strategic transition from prototype development to scalable manufacturing.
Integrated onto the self-propelled modular launcher MLRS M-18 OGANJ, the Alas XX delivers distinct tactical advantages:
- Precision Effects: Pinpoint accuracy at ranges up to 25 km.
- Advanced Control: Features man-in-the-loop capabilities, supported by secure dual communications and high-fidelity EO/IR sensors.
- Modular Integration: Seamless compatibility with existing Serbian artillery units.
Concurrently, our R&D division has accelerated the development of the broader Alas family, making significant headway on the coastal defence variant - Alas-C and the extended-range A50 missile (50 km).
Propulsion Breakthroughs
Beyond our strike capabilities, our UAV Innovation Team achieved a major engineering breakthrough with the independent development of a 2-blade, electric constant-speed propeller.
Featuring a fully composite, carbon-fibre blade design and electrically driven pitch control, this 2.0 m, 200 kW system significantly enhances flight envelope performance. By integrating a lightweight core with high-strength materials, the new architecture delivers precise responsiveness, outstanding durability, and superior energy efficiency for modern propulsion applications.
Looking Ahead to 2026
As we approach 2026, our focus shifts to expanding our manufacturing capacity to meet growing domestic demand and exploring emerging export opportunities for the ALAS system. The foundations laid in 2025 have prepared us for a year of robust growth and international partnership.
We extend our sincere gratitude to our engineers, partners, and the Serbian Armed Forces for their trust and collaboration throughout this pivotal year.
From the entire team at EDePro, we wish you a safe and peaceful festive season and a prosperous New Year.
