Coastal Fifth-Generation Cruise Missile
ALAS C is a long-range multipurpose surface-to-surface missile system, stemming from the joint project between Yugoimport SDPR and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and it is designed for coastal defence in modern naval missions. Containing a HEAT and fragmentation warhead, it is integrated with the NIMR 6x6 tactical vehicle, and its tactical use is destroying targets such as boats and small ships. Moreover, it is cost-effective and highly efficient against ships, missile patrol boats and other sea and river vessels. Given that it can be used in individual and group actions – both naval and anti-landing – such as assault preparations, opening of passages, maintaining the pace of attacks, and neutralising the enemy coastal artillery by attacking from the sea, ALAS C is an optimal solution for the new era of naval superiority.

Like its counterpart ALAS XX, the ALAS C missile is also designed to be used in reconnaissance and guidance. It has an IR imaging homing head and optical cable, which enables target area observation, as well as target acquisition process during the flight if the operator decides so. 

Apart from that, this powerful missile boasts 25 km effective operating range, with the possibility of reaching 50 km. Furthermore, ALAS C contains two main types of advanced homing heads – that is, the electro-optical uncooled IR imaging and the advanced TV homing head.


  • Blast fragmentation warhead (with a safety and arming mechanism and a proximity fuse)
  • Initial alignment
  • AINS (Aided INS) based on the INS, GPS and altimeter (based on availability)
  • Midterm guidance based on the GCS’s preset trajectory points
  • Terminal guidance based on the homing head’s signal with an absolute accuracy of 1 m
  • Target detection range of up to 12 km
  • Target recognition range of up to 10 km
  • Tracking and lock-on range of up to 7 km
  • Target tracking can be aborted at any time during the flight
  • Target retracking, as well as setting a new target
  • Communication with the GCS (Ground Control Station) during the mission setup and flight
  • Continuous in-flight monitoring of all missile and communication and control subsystems (booster separation control, missile velocity control, warhead arming and disarming)
  • Mission abort (manual, via GCS, or automatic, based on predefined criteria)
